Statues from Michaelangelo

Michaelangelo once spent six months at the marble quarry in order to choose the marble for some of his statues. While observing the quarry workers who were basically slaves, he began to carve statues in honor of them. He intentionally didn't finish them to show the struggle of men fighting to free themsleves as these statues appear to be doing out of the marble.
