Pompeii was the most fascinating ancient site I've been to and I've been to a lot throughout Europe, Asia and the Israel. The reason it's so fascinating is that it was fully preserved because of being covered instantly in 20 feet of volcanic ash. Thi is one of the main streets and our tour guide is holding the daisy.
